Proper preparation is the most important part of any coating project. NovaTuff provides detailed installation guides and concrete preparation guides, which are available on the NovaTuff website or from your local NovaTuff retailer.
Prime a concrete fountain with 2 coats of NovaTuff P-505 Epoxy Primer at 1 gallon per 150 to 200 square feet per coat. Concrete must be more than 28 days old. The concrete may outgas with the first coat but the second coat will complete the seal. If temperatures are high, it can be better to apply the primer coats at night.
